Here are some of the things that people have said about Rachel’s service...

“We purchased a pony from Rachel in September 2006 and we were absolutely delighted with our purchase, she was a tiny 11hh First Off the Lead Pony for my 6 year old daughter.

Rachel was totally honest and told us all Dessie’s good and bad points and we were able to try her in the school and on her own in a huge field.  We then returned the next day and my daughter went for a hack with Rachel and rode Dessie again in the school.

She was an absolutely super confidence giving little pony, who took my very nervous daughter from hunting on the lead rein at the back of the field to racing her brother to be as close to the Field Master’s bottom as possible!

It was really nice to buy a pony from someone who was genuinely interested in the pony and kept in touch and I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel.”

“We purchased Sailor from Rachel in April 2007 as a competition pony for my daughter who primarily wanted to showjump.  Although he had done very little competing the fact he was well schooled and had dressage points interested us as we had previously had show ponies.

Lucie loved his way of going and Rachel assured us he had a bold jump and was unfazed by anything he was asked to do. Rachel let us try Sailor several times and ride him out on the road as we had previously bought a pony that had proved completely unsuitable and were quite apprehensive.

Since then Sailor has proved to be a genuine pony in every way.  He quickly progressed show jumping and did all his double clears in British Novice and Discovery betweeen June and September.  As he was only six we have bought him on slowly and he is now jumping double clear in Newcomers and started jumping Foxhunter classes in December.

Lucie was a fairly inexperienced show jump rider and Sailor has looked after her despite being a real novice himself.  He is much admired when we go jumping and an easy pony for a mum & daughter only team. I would be happy to purchase a horse or pony from Rachel again as Sailor is exactly as she told us.”

“I bought Louis from Rachel nearly 4 years ago, for my daughter who was then 12. He is a full up 14.2, and was only 6 at the time, but he had such a lovely easy going temperament, and he has truly been the perfect pony. We tried him several times before buying him, including at a Pony Club lesson, as we live locally. Rachel offered us follow-up help and advice, but it really wasn't needed.

Louis has gone from strength to strength, as she predicted, and is now a real schoolmaster, at the grand old age of 10!  My daughter has done (and still does!) everything with him; hacking, hunting, PC, fun rides, dressage, working hunter, and even a little BSJA and BE, and he is the Pony Club's "lungeing demo" pony... He has also been ridden by all members of my family, and various others, from competent to non-riders, and he copes with everything without a problem. He is now hugely outgrown but we cannot bear to part with him, as he is one of the family and has done so much for us; he owes us nothing!

When we go on holiday Louis goes to stay with Rachel at livery, and I can relax in the knowledge that he is being pampered too! He comes home fit, happy and very tidily trimmed....

I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a pony; she is a very good judge of horses, has lots of experience, explains any quirks or difficulties, and she considers both the pony and the child when trying to find a partnership.”

“We bought our 14.2 gelding through Rachel over a year ago and he has been nothing but a pleasure from day one. We bought him without trying him out on Rachel’s recommendation and he is all she told us he was and more!!

My son has had endless pleasure in all the pony club teams and his younger sister has been doing intro and now pre-novice on him and he always goes fabulously cross country and is teaching her so much as she is only just 13.

I would trust Rachel with all my ponies and wish that she lived nearer then she could have them when we go away!”
